Medication Management

Precision Psychiatry

What is medication management?

At Katie’s Way, our psychiatric care covers the full journey: thorough assessment, evidence-based medical treatment, coordinated care with your therapy team, and ongoing support. We help with a wide range of mental, emotional, and substance-use conditions for individuals. Adults can receive medication management for many concerns—paired with therapy and other advanced options when helpful.

What can I expect?
  • A clear plan. We start with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand your history, symptoms, goals, and what’s worked (or not) before.
  • Individualized treatment. Your clinician will discuss options—from medication to therapy to neuromodulation—and build a plan around your life, not the other way around.
  • TTeam-based care. Psychiatry, therapy, and care coordination work together so you’re not repeating yourself across appointments.
  • Follow-through support. We monitor progress, manage side effects, adjust medications as needed, and celebrate wins with you.
What medication management services are available?
  • Psychiatric evaluation & diagnosis (initial and second-opinion consults)
  • Medication management (initiation, optimization, monitoring, and tapering when appropriate)
  • Care coordination (with your therapist, PCP, and—when you opt in—family or support people)
  • Psychotherapy referrals (in-house therapy and group options where available)
  • Advanced treatments: Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS); Spravato® (esketamine) coming soon; virtual exposure/VR-assisted therapy coming soon
  • Telepsychiatry (secure virtual visits) and in-person appointments (location-dependent)
  • Support for transitions (return to work/school planning, medication bridge visits, and step-down care)
How does medication management work?
  • Evaluate. We review your health history, current meds/supplements, and goals.
  • Start or optimize. . If our providers determine that medication is appropriate, we will discuss the potential benefits, risks, and alternatives with you so you can make an informed decision about your medical care.
  • Check in. Short, regular follow-ups make sure you’re improving; we adjust quickly if not.
  • Maintain or taper. We aim for the lowest dose medication that reliably maintains your wellbeing—and will assist you in tapering the medication when appropriate.
